What exactly does international recruitment mean?

International Recruitment involves recruiting candidates outside the Netherlands for certain positions. This concerns roles where it is difficult to find suitable candidates within the Netherlands.

This can be in Europe and outside Europe. Roles that are often eligible for this are roles within High-Tech and (embedded) security. The real tech roles actually.

It is also possible that we also recruit for international customers for one of their offices abroad, in Spain or in the US, for example. A12 has knowledge of the processes that apply to expats when they come to the Netherlands.

How does the placement process with A12 consultants work?

Normally, a recruitment process starts with a new application. A job profile and the necessary competencies are determined in a conversation with the client.

After that, a vacancy is drawn up and distributed on the A12 site, job boards, social media. Candidates are actively approached and recruited through applications.

The selection process includes a resume and motivation screening, an online interview or in-office interview with A12 Consultants. After that, a candidate is offered if he fits the position with the client in the form of a resume with report (interview report). The client chooses which candidates he wants to talk to. There are usually two job interviews.

It is decided which of the candidates will receive an offer; sometimes a reference check takes place. An employment contract is drawn up by the client, it is discussed and, under the green light, a start date is set up and an onboarding is set up by the client. After two months, A12 has a meeting with the candidate and organization to discuss how things are going.

How much experience do you have in the field of recruitment?

A12 Consultants has been around for over 17 years now. Before that, as a founder, I gained experience at an agency, as part of an organization to expand the team. So on the desk side and on the customer side.

This has gained a lot of experience with various recruitment methods, interview techniques, how to deal with changes in the labor market and best practices. Can you also recruit international candidates for us?

We recruit international candidates for a range of high-tech and cybersecurity roles. This often happens within companies where there is limited availability of possible candidates. They will indicate this themselves when turning off the application. A12 can also actively recruit here outside Europe.
