Project Manager Security

The organization is an internationally renowned security laboratory. They specialize in embedded security tests for leading global customers in the semiconductor, payment, pay TV, mobile and smart metering industries. As the number of projects grows steadily, they are looking for a project manager to strengthen the organization.

The job

The organization evaluates the ICT security of both hardware and software products. They assess security based on formal and informal methodologies. The various products include integrated circuits, smart card applications and payment terminals (PED or PIN Entry Device), Host Security Modules (HSM), switches/routers, USB, and automotive security modules. They work with international financial companies such as MasterCard and VISA, governments and developers of ICT products. Their expertise helps customers demonstrate compliance with the most stringent global security standards — from Common Criteria and EMVCo to GlobalPlatform, SESIP, and more.

The function

As a project manager, you are the link between the customers, the commercial team and the project team that carries out the security evaluations. You supervise the projects and their planning and execution.

Your responsibilities include:

• Organizing, executing and completing security evaluation projects within the specified time and budget, and at the desired quality level.
• Independently plan and manage key projects until completion. These are projects that are highly technical and are carried out for important international customers.
• Coach the team of security analysts in the right direction and ensure that the appropriate security assessment tasks are carried out within the specified time.
• Simultaneously supervising various test and evaluation projects.
• Developing and assessing project proposals in collaboration with the commercial team.
• Planning resources with other project managers.
• Handling escalations and managing them into a mutually compatible result.
• Prepare project status reports and hold meetings about risks, progress, issues, and recommended solutions with both the team and the customer.
• Ensuring communication with the customer during the execution of the project.
• Continuously improving the project approach for specific projects.

Your profile

• As a project manager, you have a background in technology, information security or IT and are used to monitoring internal processes in a dynamic international environment.
• Academic/higher professional technical education
• Ability to lead projects with a team of highly technical engineers
• 3-5 years of experience in project management positions in a service-oriented environment
• Excellent communication skills.
• Focus on results and customer satisfaction.
• Fluent in English.
• Team player with a focus on results and structured work.
• (Plus) experience with one of the security certification schemes such as Common Criteria (PP0084, PP0117), EMVCo, GlobalPlatform, SESIP, and PSA.
